Holiday Shoppe
We wanted to thank all the children who participated in the Holiday Shoppe last week, and the families that funded their shopping. We hope the children had a good experience at the shop and that the gifts they selected for family members bring a lot of joy this holiday season. Thank you also to the volunteers who made this event possible! If you want to provide any feedback about the Holiday Shoppe please email

Swartz Winter Wonderland Dance
Thank you to all the parents who helped out at the Winter Wonderland dance for Swartz students this past Friday. We hope the children had a fun time dancing the night away!

Save the Date
The Taste of Dist. 48 event is on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 which is only a couple of weeks after winter break. This popular event allows you to get samples from area restaurants and then vote on your favorites. It is $5/person or $20/family, which is a great value for the amount of food you get. Please be sure and mark this on your calendar!

FTC hopes all families in Dist. 48 have a wonderful holiday break!

Holiday Shoppe is Next Week!

Our Holiday Shoppe is happening next week, Dec. 12-16!  It will be at Salt Creek on Monday and Tuesday, Swartz on Wednesday and Thursday and Albright on Friday. Information was distributed this week.  Check your child’s backpack.

The idea behind the Holiday Shoppe is to give children an opportunity to purchase items for family members and friends that are low-cost and they feel proud for having picked out themselves. This is an experience they will remember from their childhood – and they’ll have fun shopping for gifts.

Feel free to preview the items we’ll have for sale AND, new this year, create a wishlist online to print and send in with your child. Go to to view the gifts with your child/children (be sure and click on all the headings to see all the available gifts). Handmade items, not pictured, may also be available at some schools, and are not included in the website.

Thanks for your support! Please email with any questions.
